Interdimensional Schisms
Interdimensional Schisms

Interdimensional Schisms are the result of excessive time travel and dimensional travel on schism earth. Often largely benign visible fractures floating in the air or embedded on objects.
History
Schisms often lead to the wider multiverse while sometimes acting as permanent gateways to other universes.
Prominent schisms include:
- The Oxford Schism - A permanent connection to the Fae Multiverse, large parts of the city overtaken by plantlife.
- The Siberian Fault - The largest schism stretching from Northern Siberia to Moscow, connected to the wider multiverse.
Often schisms will output a large amount of Interdimensional Energy- often leading to transformative/mutative effects. Such energies can lead to areas becoming inhospitable without regularly draining.
Humanocentric extremists aim to close the schisms to cut off Earth from the wider multiverse- believing the schisms lead to further corruption of the earth and its species.
