The Hawkmoths VS LoRI - Finale - The Golden Goddess

Emily, as Eva, gripping her head and turning into a golden goddess, spearing Zeydaan and claiming victory.

The tides of fate have a victor in the fight between the champions of the Hawkmoths and LoRI.

Cleanly? Oh, please.” Raven paced around the referee. “Only one of us is leaving here and it’s going to be me.”

“She needs to be put down, ref.” Mythra began to pace in a similar manner so that her gaze didn’t break from Raven. “Get out of my way!”

“Put down? What? Like that cat you’re obsessed with?” Raven mocked one of Isabella’s favorite forms.

“Don’t you say that about me!” Mythra involuntarily shifted into Queen Nia and unleashed her fury on Raven. Raven simply smiled because her gamble had worked. Nia had violated the rule of not being able to use a form twice. Instead of the penalty affecting Nia directly, Raven would benefit from the foul. “That was a dirty trick and you know it!”

“Hm? I’m not the one lacking in impulse control.” Raven helped Riela back onto her feet. “Ref, she used Nia in Round 1. Tell the viewers at home what that means.”

“You get an unrestricted transformation and temporary goddess mode in the current stage.” Riela clenched her lance and shield. “Have you decided on your boon, Raven?”

“I’m going to need to borrow your weapon set, Riela.” Raven traded her blade for Claire’s Valkyria weapon set. “You’re going to want to make sure the door is locked, Referee.” She waited for Claire to completely vacate the stage before customizing the lance to her tastes. Raven brandished a traditional spear and made the shield reflect Mythra’s namesake. “Former Aegis, meet my Aegis.” Raven’s outfit was distorted into a cyber-Greek take on Athena’s outfit. “Want to jump the bell again?”

“I’ll show you who the real Aegis is!” Nia found that none of her attacks were having any effect. Not even changing back into Mythra made a difference. If she could outlast Athena’s impervious window, then there was still a chance. Alas, Isabella forgot the most important factor. She was limited to the amount of energy brought in or accumulated and that ran out. She collapsed onto the floor in total exhaustion. Athena only had to hold the blunt end of the spear’s hilt down for the pin.

“Emily Rees retains the title!” The commentators cheered over the loudspeakers. Isabella could only drift off to sleep.

Several Days Later

Professor Emily Rees sat at her desk going through an ever-increasing pile of term papers. “I swear that these students are even worse than her!” She had to Google every other reference that came up in these papers. “Where’s that T.A when I need her?” Another Emily brought in even more papers from a colleague’s office. “Please tell me that I can have a break soon. Justin Andrew’s paper on obscure 90’s cartoons is insufferable!”

“You’re still only in the A’s, Zey? You’ve got a long way to go at this rate.” The other Emily put on a casual outfit before tossing the title belt over her right shoulder. “Don’t worry, I’ll stay here as long as you need… for emotional support.” She turned on a gaming computer at her T.A’s desk. “Now if you’ll excuse me, I need to get back to unlocking things in the Black Ops 6 Season 1 pass. I hope you like hearing the nuances of Zombies lore in the meantime. It all starts back during WWII…”

Zey was stuck.
