Inku is part of the Squid Sisters, and Marsail (stage name Ophiura) is a lo-fi artist. They went to school together in Calamari County but while Inku moved to Inkopolis, Marsail moved to New Baylor because that's where the lo-fi scene was biggest. Inku is seen as the baby of the Squid Sisters as she is the youngest and unlike Callie and Marie, did not have any solo material (Callie has Bomb Rush Blush and Marie has Tide Goes Out).
She is constantly making demos in her free time but the Squid Sisters' producer won't let her use them in the group because the sound is too different. So, she collabs with Marsail and makes a whole album out of the demos. It got a little pushback from fans of both when it was first announced- Inku stans not thinking that Marsail was worthy of working with her, and Ophiura stans thinking he was selling out- but it did very well upon release and those fans ended up enjoying the final product.
It features a new mix of the Calamari Inkantation that sounds completely different to the Squid Sisters' version, and Marsail gave Inku almost all creative control on the project.
