Fabio transforming into Sarah Henderson from the Needlemouse series.
Fabio sat upright on his stool while stretching his back. He already struggled keeping a good posture while sitting on his gaming chair at home so a cheap stool at an internet café was bound to worsen his “Gamer slouch”.
Why was he putting up with an internet café instead of enjoying the comfort of his gaming pc at home? Well procrastinating your school essay until the literal last second (that being realizing that he forgot to finish his draft while being on his way to school) and now having to throw something together within 30 minutes.
At least his topic was something interesting that he already had some knowledge about: the history of Nintendo! Fabio was currently in the process of listing important moments in the timeline while chewing on a pen. “hrrrm… when exactly did the console wars start actually…” he mumbled to himself before pulling up a google page to verify.
“Late 80`s sounds about riiiight…” He continued mumbling while noting it down hastily. He was just about to close the page to continue writing when his eyes got caught by a suggested article to the side of the website. “The Sonic conspiracy… how freak deaths relate back to SEGA Enterprise? Huh…” Even in this time of stress, Fabio’s ADHD brain will continue to be distracted by the first opportunity that presents itself. With his interest peaked, he clicked on the article to “just quickly skim over it”.
“hm… hm hmmm… victims were part of a friend group… No signs of forced entry… killer nor motive were ever established…” Fabio raised an eyebrow as he kept scrolling until a image of some tan girl with messy black hair, a lazy grin and puffy purple sweater came into view. That wouldn’t be a cause for confusion if it wasn’t for the fact that the girl on the image looked so… off. Her face looked unnaturally round. Cartoonishly so. The more Fabio analyzed the image, the more odd details he picked up… such as her hair looking overly simply for the lack of a better word. Fabio squinted while leaning closer towards the screen, only now taking note of the text above the image saying “Missing: Sarah Henderson. Last seen 11/24/63 at 803 Branch Lane Kernersville, NC 27284”
“What the fuck…” Fabio mumbled, wondering what kind of rabbit hole he just came across. But just as he was about to look into this topic any further… it happened. And it happened fast. Fabio just barely had time to register the picture of Sarah subtly tilting its head as Sarah’s lazy smile grew wider.
Fabio’s eyes widen as he second guessed whether he was seeing things or if the image was actually a gif or if-
But he wouldn’t get to finish that train of thought as a sock-clad foot suddenly phased straight through the screen as if it wasn’t solid glass only to firmly plant itself square and firmly against Fabio’s bewildered face. The cushioning wooly but slightly damp fabric molds around Fabio’s features.
“U-URK!” Fabio would have fell straight off his chair while trying to back away from Sarah’s sole being nonchalantly shoved against him if he didn’t manage to get a grip on the edge of the counter edge. His other hand instinctively reached up for Sarah’s ankle in an attempt to shove her away. “W-what in the-“ but before Fabio even got a grasp on the paranormal digital intruder, his arm suddenly felt impossibly heavy. A result of a faint stuffy and muffy invading his nostrils, filling his overwhelmed mind with a heavy fog and his body with lethargy. His fingers slip off Sarah’s ankle before his arm dropped limply to his side before his body soon followed, falling into a lazy slouch.
“Heh… hey there Sarah! Whatcha writing about?” A calm, slightly raspy feminine voice called out from the monitor. Fabios already slightly dazed eyes glance past the white cotton to see Sarah’s grin take up the entire screen now… her red, lazy eyes not showing a hint of care or tension… her expression had the nonchalance of a person on a morning stroll as if this was an everyday occurrence to her. “Nintendo history huh? I am more of a SEGA kind of girl myself.”
Fabio’s lips trembled as he fumbled for words. “W-wha? W-who… M-My name isn’t…”
Sarah rolled her eyes as she interrupted Fabio by twisting her sole into his face, causing his body to twitch and his breath to hitch.
“Yea yea yea… ´your´ name is Fabiooo… or something like that wasn’t it?” Sarah let her foot slide down a little until her heel was resting against his chin, revealing that the skin of Fabio’s forehead had already started to smoothen out… any kind of wrinkle ironed out into impossibly smooth tan skin. The exact same tone that Sarah herself was sporting. "Ya know what's funny about that name - Fabio? Sounds all masculine and shit. But I can already see it changing in your head. The letters getting all scrambled up..." Sarah’s feet flex before her toes curl around his nose. "F-a-b-i-o becoming S-a-r-a-h. Feel it happening? Your memories getting all mushy and warm, just like your brain?"
Fabio was way too overwhelmed to fully understand what this living anomaly was talking about… surely it can’t be as easy as… as… Fabio squirmed slightly in his seat as he realized that simply having Sarah spell it out like that was enough to literally rewrite his own memories… every time someone called him by name being warped into Sarah… it was all but subtle… he knew fully well that those altered memories being layered over his real ones weren’t his… yet he already couldn’t recall what his actual name used to be… but it wasn’t Sarah he was sure of it! He could surely remember if he could just think for a moment but thinking has become an exhausting effort… everything has become exhausting really… panicking is an effort… struggling is an effort… empathy is an effort… fear… you get the idea!
Fabio groaned as he felt his cheeks and skin swell out. His chin, his cheekbones and all other overly complex features were swallowed by the rounding mass of his face which pushed back against Sarah’s sock foot only making the sensation that much more oppressive. “O-Oh my g-god wha…” Fabio moaned in delirium which earned him a scoffing chuckle from Sarah.
“Heh… sorry pal. There is no god here…” She paused before leaning forward… scooting towards the screen before fully leaning through it. She reached down to physically pull up the windows side bar to have something to rest her elbow on before she continued with a hauntingly indifferent tone: “…Just Me!”
And she was right. As if on command, Fabio’s body tensed up again all of the sudden as his changes rapidly accelerated. His grey shirt and brown jacket both began to meld together. Seams melding together. Fabric puffing up. What was once Fabio’s casual attire was quickly reshaping into Sarah’s trademark purple sweater. The fabric was surprisingly… comfy. Very warm and comfy actually. It felt like wearing the sensation of waking up in a warm bed during a winter morning and being unable to get out bed. It only added to Fabio’s lethargy which was slowly becoming the full-blown laziness of a real Sarah.
“T-this feels… wrooong…” Fabio mumbled, knowing he had to remind himself how wrong this all was and most importantly who he was…
"That's 'cause they are wrong, buddy. But don't worry..." Sarah said calmly as Fabio gasped as his jeans compressed in on himself, causing his legs to slim down along with the now slim-fit denim. “Got your new uniform coming riiiiight up!”
"S-Sarah... SARAH WAI-mpfh-" Sarah rested her arm’s behind her back. She was about ready to give her latest victim the final push to warp this study session up. "Shhhh... just breathe deep," Sarah purrs lazily, "'S good for ya. Makes ya see things clearer... You'll be just like me in no time... So much less you… so much more me…”
Fabio's shoes began to bulge as Sarah’s words effortlessly painted a new identity over his previous one... new memories that he never lived, a devil may care attitude and a downright unhealthy vendetta...
Sarah got to watch as “Fabio” faded away the moment his feet swelled to become pudgier before BURSTING out of his sneakers with a satisfying POP, separating fabric from sole to let his swollen, tan toes wriggle out. He let out a muffled moan into Sarah’s sock as a shiver inducing sensation started at his ankles and quickly spread down to the rest of his foot. His toes went from curled up to spread apart just as his feet were being overtaken by a (not really) fresh pair of plain white wooly socks.
"Fabio's"... or rather Sarah's face stretched into that signature lazy grin as she kicked of the bits of fabric left from her former footwear. The new
Sarah took one last deep inhale from her fellow Sarah’s foot before leaning back with a long exhale as if she just took a hit from a drug or something. “Aaaaah… There really is no god…” She said with the exact same calm, lazy tone as the original Sarah who looked more than pleased about her new mirror image. “… just us!” The original Sarah added before both of them glance over back… not only at the small crowed of horrified onlookers who were also visiting the café… no they were looking right through that crowd of npc’s… they were looking straight at you out there… reading this behind that screen of yours… heh… if ya paid attention pal, you should know that this glass barrier ain’t gonna save ya from a Sarah… let alone two. Should have quit reading when you had the chance Sarah~
